So how did Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and the Kims feel as their countrymen were starving and being gunned down?

I don't think Obama believes his own rhetoric. I hope not, at least, or else we have a borderline psychotic in the White House. I figure it's just the usual Democrat technique of accusing Republicans of acting like Democrats, or just making up stuff out of whole cloth, and then denouncing Republicans for it.

Are We Becoming European?

It's nice that someone pointed out that TOTAL government spending in the US, state and federal, is comparable to European numbers. The problem is we have a welfare state on the one hand, and a federal government that was designed to have a limited role in domestic affairs on the other. The separation of powers was designed to be inefficient so that the feds wouldn't dominate the states like they do today. The states also retained their sovereignty, so the feds cannot directly dictate to the states (in theory) like European parliaments can. The result is a very inefficient welfare state, as they go. That's one reason libs dislike our Constitution.

What in the article screams it? I thought Mr. Ransom was writing about the sad, bitter people who vote to raise taxes on people.

12 Liberal Pledges for the New Year

That's funny because I always figured that liberal "intellectual" women were so vicious towards attractive conservative women because the conservative women reminded the liberal women of how homely and unappreciated the liberal women were in high school.

What the Looming Port Strike Is Really About

A lot of Obama's constituents have become more bold about wreaking havoc and destruction. From unions occupying state Capitols to flash mobs ravaging stores and standers by.

I would expect no more of the Longshoremen than to threaten the Nation's economy with a crippling strike. (Imagine a strike and a fiscal cliff.) Everyone knows the Longshoremen are run by the Mob for the Mob. How else are they going to keep their members juiced in with no-show jobs? But lately it seems like the whole Democratic Party is in the game playing chicken with all of our lives. Calif. Governor Jerry Brown playing chicken with the state's school system. President Obama playing chicken with all of us. Maybe it's not new, but it's an awfully dangerous game.
