Um, Ms. Liebau, she said she hasn't had intercourse in 4 years. That's not a virgin. From the link provided: " I haven’t had sexual intercourse in almost four years" and "I admit I am not a virgin."

Quibbling about words misses the point. I think what Liebau and Walker are saying is that 'abstinence' is not a bad thing. For some it may be a good thing because it removes the unintended negative consequences. Given that self-control for a greater, long term good has fallen out of fashion, ladies who don't protect themselves and only think of immediate pleasures will get what they accept.

No. I don't expect every word to be accurate and true if the meaning prevails. I'm sure you've never misspoke or used a wrong word from time to time. I can tell you're a superior creature who sits from on high to criticize us normal humans. In the real world, having made your point, which wasn't that significant of a point, you continue to grind. That's just being petty, don't you think?

Try not to get lost in the insignificant. If you understand the point she was making that's all that matters. If you want to be critical because it makes you feel superior or it brings you pleasure then press on, do your thing. Some guys expose themselves to children, you beat dead horses. Emotional masturbation for personal gratification in both cases. You undermine your credibility.

Thirty-something writer Kristin Walker has done a very brave thing (at least, in our culture): She has admitted she is abstaining from sex until she is married.  She's normal, she's in a relationship -- but she has simply decided to live in accordance with her morals.  And she makes extremely good points:

Don’t submit to what Chesterton called “the degrading slavery of being a child of [ones] age.” Make your own decisions. Don’t buy the giant lie that if you stop having sex your unmentionables are going to shrivel and drop off from disuse. And don’t believe them when...
