The Democrat-infested Austin "Public Integrity Unit" employed this EXACT tactic to force Rep. Tom DeLay from office some years ago. He was indicted for a non-existent "crime". Republican House rules required him to step down (but House Democrats have no such rule.) When the trial was held YEARS later (plus many, many $10,000 costs), the verdict was Not Guilty. But it worked: Rep. DeLay was out of the House. So that is the background behind this development. If anyone is clearly guilty of "official oppression", it is the RATs in the Travis County DA office.

Incompetence and Stupidity? My counter-example: The Keystone Pipeline. Everyone (except enviro-moonbats) can see the utility and value of building the KP. But The Obammunist's "laser-like focus on jobs" doesn't extend to a project that will most certainly create tens of thousands of jobs and wealth, both immediately and into the future. And the effin' national government will collect tax revenue from the KP, instead of underwriting cronies in yet another failed business.

What's wrong with the voters? Well, a considerable number of them think that the Golden Goose can never be killed (that is, if they are capable of rational thinking at all.) But also, many - MANY - were invented at the local DemonRAT party headquarters, or are deceased and had some "good friends" from the RAT party vote for them.
1. Once a messiah is immaculated, he cannot be seen as failing in any aspect. Everything he does simply MUST be the most brilliant, exciting, heroic success ever known to humanity. No other interpretation is possible, and facts and numbers be damned. 2. The lamestream media is fanatically devoted to "Progressivism" in every particular. Fanatics never know when to stop.

My favorite items on the list: #1 and #7 (though #8 is running strong at the wire.)
After induction into the Baseball Hall Of Fame, can a permanent spot on the Golf Pro Tour be far behind?
It really is laughable. Only Enviro-Moonbats and Wack-jobs want to abandon the (plentiful and inexpensive) modern energy sources in favor of the energy sources of the Cro-Magnon era.
Frankly, Pete, I wouldn't spend 15 cents to keep you alive.

Who's next? Well, some years ago, a university's students elected a refrigerator as Student Body President. We could do much worse than that - and have, recently.
...unless "He" happened to be out on the golf course, lining up a particularly tricky putt.
