as I have posted before Amerrican's remain that strange breed of cat that loves winners and turns their back on losers 4 years ago, they fell for the myth of hopey change and the lies that comrade hussein cared about America and have discovered that comrade hussein's empty soul and hatred of America are driving him to destroy the country that placed their trust in him Yet the media continues to push the lie that only comrade hussein and his agenda of higher taxes and more out of control spending is the solution for fixing the economy and then there's the coming crushing burden of hussein care

Dear Tuttle:
Please visit a grammar and punctuation book: "Amerrican's remain that strange breed of cat that loves winners and turns their back on losers."
You meant: Americans (plural, not singular possessive; one "r" not two) remain that strange breed of cats (plural like the subject, Americans) that love (plural) winners and turn (plural) their backs (plural) on losers.
We've got a great language. Use it to benefit your expression of your feelings, not distract from it.

Elisabeth26 - get a life! This isn't a high school English class or the NYT op-ed page. Just a simple forum for normal people (read: people other than anal-retentive English geeks) to post their thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

tuttletocoma - keep posting buddy.

Liz Dear--

It is well known that bloggers nomally accept the limitations of blog posts (effected with haste; cannot edit; it's the thoughts that count) fact, you cannot edit here on TH.

Also, as something of a grammarian and wordsmith myself, judge not lest ye be judged..."detract" would have been better for your would-be point than "distract"...see how easy it is to second guess?

Dear Elisabeth,
Please also note that hopey is not a word, Hussein should have been capitalized, there was a distinct lack of punctuation, and out-of-control should have been hyphenated. Now that you too have been corrected I hope you'll see how ridiculous you are. The only time I would (normally) correct someone's spelling and grammar is right after they told me how smart and educated they were while trying to win an argument. Tuttlecoma - please carry on.

liz, since you understood what was being said, your attempt to teach language construction on this board is a lost, and unnecessary, cause. Have a fine day "Teach"
I want to give you an updated list of reasons I believe that Mitt Romney will win the election Tuesday. So much information, so much confusion, so much uncertainty. But I don't think it's so complex as it seems.

In 2008, a perfect storm developed for Barack Obama: an economic crisis, which was effectively, though unfairly, blamed on Republicans; war fatigue, which had been stoked by six years of Democratic anti-Bush propaganda; a messianic illusion personified in Obama, who was promising incomprehensibly wonderful yet undefined change and utopian-level bipartisanship; and a Republican opponent who all but forfeited the election to Obama...
