Don't Be Cowed By The New York Times

Mona Charon's assertion that the Lilly Bedwetter law is about enriching trial laywers is a point that Romney and other Conservatives need to state aggressively. In fact, the gigantic waste of brainpower that the Caponian-like protection racket that our tort system has been turned into should be a significant issue for Republicans. By the way, we should remember that the lefties pleaded with us that we needed the E.R.A. in order to protect and advance women in our evil patriarchal capitalist society. The argument was complete garbage and was another ploy to greatly expand the wealth and power of Big Law and government.

"Romney Camp Stumbles on Pay Equity Question" crowed The New York Times last week. "The Caucus" blog was referring to a conference call in which Romney top aides "seemed uncertain" about how to respond to a question about whether the former governor supported the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

The aide's reply, "We'll get back to you on that," marked a "fumble" the Times ruled, that is "not likely to help (Romney's) case" in attracting women voters. Please.

Notice that support for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the first legislation President Obama signed in 2009, is now equated with support...
