John, It is the nature of government to be expensive and incompetent, but they have really cool acronyms. In Britain they have NICE; the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence whose role is to determine who will get treatment (live) and who will not (die). When people speak of keeping heath costs manageable in Britain, all you can saw is Awww isn't that NICE.

Yes. In Britain a government panel is appointed to determine the best use of health care, and to limit costs. People get the care they need; is based on humanitarian principles. Here it's a matter of a corporate three ring binder, and protection of profits. When the bottom line is all that matters, people lose.

yeah,in Britain, people die while waiting for diagnostics or treatments they'd get immediately in the US.
If their treatments/diagnostics (in Britain) aren't denied completely.

Ever heard of a cute little fat guy named Erick Erickson? He runs a blog called "Red State" and he is trying to make himself into a Big Player in Conservative Circles. He kicks people off his blog if they post comments that he doesn't personally agree with. He is the only conservative in America who opposes freedom of speech.

You would have been kicked off little Erick Erickson's blog for saying what you just said (above). Congratulations.

Get off the Kool Aid. What do you know about Britain? Ever been there...I doubt it. You're just spewing liberal drivel you hear from the losing left. England's healthcare sucks and the papers are starting to pick up on it......finally.

So I’m reading this email teaser from National Journal’s Influence Alley called Spending Cuts Added to Plan B that says: “In a bid to win more support for Republican House Speaker John Boehner's Plan B to cut taxes for everyone but millionaires, GOP leaders are adding a second bill that would reduce the deficit and avoid the sequester, a GOP leadership aide told the Alley.”

So first I’m thinking “What tax cut?” Doesn’t a tax cut necessitate some sort of tax “cutting” action? The net result of the proposal is to increase taxes for some. If these guys worked on Wall...
