The other part of the problem is the FDA itself. We have a government bureaucracy that will decide for everyone what they can take and what they cannot take as a medication. We have ceded to government the opportunities to volunteer and take prescriptions that are close to approval and even those that are in their earlier stages of development. When a government bureaucrat decides rather than the individual, you have lost freedom.

Biotech company Excelixis CEO George Scangos likes to quote oil wildcatter JP Getty when asked about his philosophy for success: “Get up early; work hard; find oil,” he deadpans.
