This is like anything else in the government. Don't listen to what they say, look at what they do. There are already laws on the books that are strict enough where there would be a large improvement if they were enforced. But, they are not. Why not? Because there is no intention of securing the border. They only want to look like they intend on securing the border. If they wanted a secure border, we would already have it. This is why most people regard these fine citizens that represent us as slimy, sleazy politicians. Why don't we recognize them as slimy and sleazy before we elect them?

The problem is that Obama drew the line at chemical weapons. No one forced Obama to make that declaration. So, once that line was crossed and he did not act it proved, once again, that Obama's words are plastic and can be shaped into whatever he wants. It makes him and the US look weak and indecisive. Instead of the adage "Speak softly and carry a big stick" Obama "Screams loudly and has no stick at all"

I have no problem with what the churches said. They have freedom of association and freedom of speech. There is no reason that they cannot be exercised together.

We know that they are not serious. If they were, there would be enforcement first and this would have already been done. There would have been efforts in the law that mandates proof of citizenship before voting and proof of citizenship before receiving any of the benefits from the programs provided by the government. There is no enforcement and there really isn't any effort to protect the citizens of the USA and their resources

Governments do 2 things well 1) Take Money 2) Spend Money So far, they have been lights out in the Obama Administration.

The problem is that the GOP nominated a candidate that implemented his own version of ObamaCare. Unless Romney came out against his signature legislation, it was a lost issue. There was very little difference between ObamaCare and RomneyCare except RomneyCare was done on a statewide vs national basis. This was a distinction without a difference. The Dems ran a hard left guy that spoke like he was moderate. The GOP ran a soft left guy that did not know how to speak at all. Why would the conservative base come out for Romney? They didn't. Why didn't the GOP realize that Romney was McCain 2.0 and if the GOP isn't careful we will see another incarnation of McCain 3.0 as they search for the next RINO in line for the POTUS run. Right now, it is looking like Christie

I think that this is a cross roads. Will their be a country that will embrace free markets and the innovations that this brings and still allow the individual to keep the fruits of his labors? That used to be the USA. Whoever emerges will get a headstart on the the rest of the world.

It has always amazed me how Blacks stay loyal to a party that tells them: 1) You too lazy to compete with the White man 2) You are too dumb to compete with the White man 3) You have no restraint over your urges So the Dems will give you handouts because their platform says you are inferior and pathetic. And this works???

What is wrong with enforcement first, then later, let's say 3 years after the border is secured, we address the plight of the illegals that are here. This is a deal that is fraught with peril for the GOP. The businesses that rely on cheap labor want this done ASAP. The Dems that will cater to the new poor with showers of gifts and programs in exchange for their vote can't wait wither. The GOP and the newly legally immigrant stand to lose. Why would those on the edge want to bring in millions to drive wages lower?
