From the government point of view, marriage is just a status symbol, an endorsement if you will. So, why wouldn't government endorse any and all unions between any and all couples. They don't even have to be human. Why can't a guy marry his car. It's all about love and whether you think it is love or not isn't his choice to love and thus marry his car?
