tru, the Reps won't lose base if they don't fight a tax increase for the upper 2%. The RINOs might run into primary problems, but no base Rep is going to choose a high tax Dem over a tax hike Rep, any more than a Dem is going to vote for a Rep giveaway when he can choose a Dem giveaway. The PR downside of trying to defend the rich in the current climate is disastrous. As you say, winning the info war is key, despute and expose the lies, predict disaster, but refuse to be part of the process by either resistance or negotiation. Either course leads to getting blamed for the inevitable failure.

Unfortunately Ann Coulter is not conservative. Unfortunately the R i n o's get air time. Fortunately the democrats created this mess by not creating a budget and they are still large and in charge.
