Whether or not ObamaCare gets ruled unconstitutional, Romney stands on the best grounds to go toe to toe with Obama in a Presidential debate. After Obama expresses disbelief that Romney could be against ObamaCare since it’s so similar to RomneyCare, Mitt could retort: “You keep saying the law was crafted after ours in Massachusetts, but neither you, nor any Democratic leaders in congress (Pelosi/Reid) even so much as gave me a call or asked my opinion about what was working and what wasn’t. If you’re going to use something as a template, common sense says that you do your due diligence in assuring that the template is adequate and functional. If you were using my law as a template, why did you never contact me to discuss it?”
Some people think RomneyCare is the same. It's not. The Heritage Foundation sanctioned RomneyCare, but DID NOT sanction ObamaCare. They are two different ballgames. http://americaneedsmitt.com/blog/2011/07/14/obamacare-romneycare-ready-facts/ http://evangelicalsformitt.org/2010/04/four-hugely-important-differences-between-romneycare-and-obamacare/
Some asked about a link. I found this in 2 seconds. There's loads of data showing Gingrich got rich helping to push ObamaCare through Congress. If you Google it you'll see, but also try the real name for ObamaCare. Obamacare is officially called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Google and learn. Until then chew on this: http://bungalowbillscw.blogspot.com/2011/11/newt-gingrichs-liberal-healthcare-think.html
Gingrich sat with Pelosi on the Global Warming couch at the behest of Al Gore to push a massive Global Warming Bill, did you know that? Gingrich is a bleeding heart liberal. A Pelosi lapdog. Are you an illegal alien hoping he gets in and grants you amnesty? It won't happen. Gingrich will be gone soon enough. Bank on it.
Gingrich voted against a bipartisan 1% cut to the Department of Defense budget for 1983 - He was a draft-dodger during the Vietnam War, yet pushed aggressive foreign interventionism his entire political career, and did say that Vietnam was the "right battlefield at the right time.
- Gingrich voted against a provision requiring congressional approval prior to deployment of U.S. troops into Central America in 1983. - Gingrich voted to increase CIA secrecy and against any requirement that the President report covert activity to congress before it is initiated. - Gingrich voted for Jimmy Carter’s “Energy Mobilization Board.” - Gingrich voted for an increase in taxes on coal producers in 1981 - Gingrich voted for a 5-cent increase in the gas tax to fund highway and other mass-transit projects. - Gingrich was one of the few who voted against the 1984 bill requiring the President and Congress to submit a balanced budget - Gingrich voted for a congressional pay raise
