While the black slaves and other " poor immigrants" provided the labour, it is these men who had the vision and were the risk takers to make America into the country it is today. These are the people who created the things that make our lives better today. Yes, there was some exploitation, these concerns were addressed over the period starting with people like Theodore Roosevelt.
