Police go through extensive training 'not' to overreact. After the first shot, had the subject surrendered, no more shots would have been fired. But , as the autopsy indicates, more shots were fired and until the last, the 'kill shot', to the top of his head indicates he was charging the officer in a 'bum's rush'. I see no evidence of malfeasance on the part of the officer.

How about introducing legislation: No agency, department, or administration may institute any regulation without an economic impact assessment and approval by Congress.

There is a great failure in our education system where even University students, by in large, are totally ignorant of Orwell and Huxley. The statists have labored for 100 years or more to dumb down America and control the flow of information. They'd rather watch American Idol or ply their MP3's, while the Government stealthy robs them of their capacity for free thought.

Fantastic article which I agree with whole heartedly. The fly in the ointment as it were is this country cannot be carved upon ideology of larger vs. smaller Government because the major proponents of large government are in the large cities. It's more a conflict between the large cities and the 'fly-over' country. There was a movement in Texas to succeed and the city council in Austin declared they would succeed from Texas! We are best served to reversing the inbred 'culture of dependency' and it begins in homes and schools.

Common sense always suffers under the shouts of a political agenda.
