Fair tax gives more individual freedom. They get their money first, before the thieving government. They could invest it and become rich over time, instead of becoming government dependents. It also is progressive, in that the wealthy will pay more taxes simply because they buy more luxury and big ticket items. And No more IRS.

Today is the 100th birthday of the income tax. On February 3, 1913 the 16th amendment was ratified, which enabled the establishment of the federal income tax. This is ever in our mind as tax season is now upon us.
