Maybe some day a partisan journalist will wake up and have a revelation about the Democrats' loss of the 2012 presidential election. Perhaps it will occur to him (or her) that the candidate for whom the leftist hacks swooned, got "tingly legs", carried water, preferred not to investigate deeply, and who resembled Robert Redford's title character in the film "The Candidate" (which, I imagine, none of them has ever seen), turned out to be nothing more than a characterization of what an ideal post-modern, post-racial, intellectual, handsome, and suave president would look like. At that moment of epiphany perhaps that journalist will live up to his or her credentials and actually begin asking the tough questions, and we'll finally get answers.
Hillary will be relieved that (1) she is out of a thankless job, thrown to her as a bone by The One following the 2008 election and (2) she can finally resume her own presidential campaign which I predict will start about 30 minutes after Romney is sworn in. Then, the harpy will be back and we'll have to listen to her screech for the next four years. (At least DWS has a pleasant voice, irrespective of the words coming out of her mouth. Speaking of which, maybe now she can get her teeth straightened...)
DWS is the gift that keeps on giving. Her continuing defense of the indefensible reveals the panic and sense of hopelessness around Obama's foundering campaign that must be invading the very depths of the DNC. This video is 7 minutes of a discussion of a topic which many pollsters are finding is not at the top of the list of most women in America. Rather, their highest concerns are jobs, unemployment and the economy, with "reproductive rights" showing up down the list near the issue of immigration. DWS beats this dead horse in hopes that women of all ages and political persuasions will suddenly rally to it, and that just isn't going to happen. Kudos to Anderson Cooper for pressing her on the matter.

The Biggest Problem With Media Bias

Richard, you are correct. A recent graphic published by the Newspaper Association of America shows that newspaper advertising revenue has fallen to levels not seen since the 1950s, with the most precipitous drop occurring in the past decade. The reality is that the day of the old print media is fast disappearing. Most major newspapers report that their staffing levels are only about 40% of what they were ten years ago. The numbers don't lie, and the bell is beginning to toll for this old legacy form of journalism. We can only pray for its hasty demise.
Like Obama, FDR had little interest in nor competency in foreign policy. The British begged the US to help stave off war as Germany turned its sights on the British Isles. What saved the day for Great Britain -- and eventually for the US itself, following Pearl Harbor -- was the leadership provided by industrialists such as William Knudsen and Henry Kaiser, who stepped up to take charge of moribund military supply, shipbuilding, and aircraft manufacturing industries, and brought in modern manufacturing techniques to build what became the best equipped military in the 20th century.. In the process, they also lifted the US out of the Great Depression.
She has a job -- shilling for the Democrats. Who paid for her travel and lodging expense to appear at the convention in Charlotte? Who covered her costs when she appeared at the faux hearing in front of a Congressional "committee"? She's being used by the liberal left. If she ever figures out how basic economics really works, and re-thinks her political mantra, she will disappear from the liberals' radar. And that would be a good thing to all of us.

Obama's Dreams

News item over the weekend: Johnny Depp is leaving France because, after living there continuously for 183 days, the French government asked him to declare "permanent residency". Depp figured out that taxes on high-income residents are set to rise to 75% of earned income, so he decided to move back to the US, where his earnings are also taxed, even though he has not been living in the US. He stated, "I don't want to work for free." Perhaps some of his wealthy Hollywood buds will figure this out, as well...

Obama's Dreams

But they only polled the people in their own office, who are politically inclined not to like Romney to begin with...
Obama has been little more than a placeholder. The only problem with that is that the Democratic party has no rising star to take his place. With this failing presidency, their brand will be tarnished for at least the next eight years, if not further into the future.
Hugh's observations are correct: the "nine" are extremely influential across the country, while there aren't "nine" or even "three" on the left in talk radio because, once their ideas are exposed to the light, they are seen for the thin veneer of propaganda they are, with no solid facts to support them (see recent interviews with DWS to get a sense of how the left thinks -- even CNN is getting a clue). None of the "nine" promote radical action. In fact, the opposite is true, as shown in Tea Party rallies: peaceful and friendly (and they always clean up after themselves). Most importantly, one never hears "hate" from them, as the left often charges. But, of course, "hate speech" to the left is any idea which does not agree with theirs.
What seems obvious, but has not been prominently mentioned by any of the conservative media, is that, in listening to Mr. Soptic in the recording of the telephone conversation, there is no question he is reading his statement. Listen carefully: the word flow is stilted and he breaks his sentences in odd places, very much as if he is reading from a prepared text. Why would he read a statement as his participation in a simple telephone conversation unless someone planned ahead of time to use his comments for political purposes? Also, this conversation allegedly took place several months ago, and the "super PAC" is just now releasing it...
