Sadly, we are following the same path as in the UK... where today's Tory party is many quantum removed from what it was in the days of Margaret Thatcher. Romney hit the nail on the head with his 47% comment... and that number will only grow as the tsunima of boomers continue to retire. California has always been our cutting edge state, and there is no reason to believe that the nation as a whole will not follow that path toward one party rule and government dominance of every aspect of our lives. Just as we are all mortal... so is the country... and it appears that we are headed for a hospice.
