How did you, Automatic, learn so much about the "vast majority of his kind"? And what, pray tell, is "his kind"? Few people of any "kind" are as intelligent as Dr. Sowell, whether white, black, yellow or other. Your kind, racist, based on your comment, will never understand that the there is a very high likelihood that the Black man standing next to you is smarter than you are, even if he happens to be an idiot. You are a rare and (hopefully) dying breed (i.e., "kind").

Once we recognize that large differences in achievement among races, nations and civilizations have been the rule, not the exception, throughout recorded history, there is at least some hope of rational thought -- and perhaps even some constructive efforts to help everyone advance.
