Rational_too is the kind of creep like Princeton University's Peter Singer (google him) who believes its OK to kill a baby up to age 2 yrs old. That's right. And, he's not alone. Lib bio-ethicists (redundancy, since nearly all of them are Libs) are now arguing the right of a mother, for any reason, to murder her children up to age 3 y/o. Google "Past Birth Abortion" and "Slate Magazine" for an excellent article on the next logical extension of Lib logic toward the not yet born. PS - Rational, contrary to what you said below, many people do hold religious services for their child who die as a result of a miscarriage.
Funny, but for me its just the opposite. It was my realization that abortion was wrong that drew me back to the Catholic church. When the rest of society was gleefully killing babies in the womb, the Catholic church stood almost alone for the sanctity of life. Contrary to your comment it was science that caused me to become pro life. And, it is science, especially hi-rez, 3-D sonograms, that are rapidly turning society against abortion. So, thank YOU for your anti-religion opinion. Your atheistic views are your religion.
Just wait until the USA copies England's "Liverpool Care Pathway" which their nationalized healthcare uses to kill off its elderly. Google it if you don't believe me. About 140,000 elderly Brits each year are "humanely" sent to their graves so as to save $$$.
wtmoore1, You are obviously ignorant of the facts. Those untrained teachers, without anyone having to ask them, did exactly what you said we could never ask them to do; only they did it UNARMED and gave their lives in the process without stopping the killer. No doubt, wtmoore1, you are projecting your own cowardice upon our teachers. Given the profoundly heroric actions by unarmed teachers in Newton, you comments are disgusting. What is unwise, and unfair, is to ask teachers to confront gunmen without being armed themselves.
I AM A PROUD CONSERVATIVE AND, IT IS WRONG FOR VANTE TO FIRE MR SMITH. Freedom of Speech, means freedom to speak one's mind. Mr. Smith's tone was hardly that egregious. His point that it is wrong to work for an unethical [his opinion, not mine] company is logically reasonable. I feel the same way towards ACORN and Planned Parenthood. It offends me that an Americans was fired for making unpopular political statements or for doing so in a manner deemed unacceptable. C’mon Conservatives. If we fail to defend Mr. Smith’s free speech, then what right do we have to our own?

Corbett, it says much about you that you think Iran is not governed by lunatics. Do you remember when Ajad spoke at Columbia Univ.? Even the NYC Libs were aghast at Ajad's insanity.

True, but Iran can certainly defeat Kuwait, Quatar, Bahrain, Saudia Arabia, Jordan, etc. Then with 60% of the world's oil, and a hundred million Arab men to draft into its army, how long before Iran becomes formidable enough for you to take concern.

Are you willing to bet your life on that? I'm not. Here's the bet I'll take: we destroy their nuclear capabilities and make clear to any and all that the same will happen to them if they too pursue nuclear weapons.

Iranian Qud forces trained, armed and fought with Hezzbollah against the Israelis. They nearly defeated the mighty IDF. The Iranian tactics, technology and equipment was quite formidable.

Corbett, You once again miss the point entirely. You prevent war by detering it. Standing by and allowing evil prevail is not compatible with peace. Communism slaughtered over 100 million people, mostly their own. Left unchecked, the USSR would have conquered Europe. The USA keep the peace by meeting the challenge.
