How many times have I heard, "My brother (or son, grandson) is gay. He is very sweet, so how can I criticize it?" To my recollection, most of those sons, etc. have died from AIDS and other behavior-related maladies. So, because your son is doing it, that makes it okay? How subjective is that thinking? If my daughter were alcoholic, my approval would only encourage her, it seems.

What's amazing is how anybody...ANYBODY still supports Obama. It's like we elected Mick Jagger to the presidency because he's so cool, and now we're shocked that he doesn't know what he's doing. Yet many still think he's wonderful. America reminds me of a battered wife who enables her abusive husband to continue his destructive work. She says, "But he feeds me and provides a good home. He tells me he loves me. He's really a good man. People just don't understand him..." We'd better wake up soon.

When you begin by saying, "My vote will go to...Gary Johnson," you pretty well lose me on all the rest. No, your vote will go to Barack Obama. Johnson can't possibly win, and one less vote for Romney is one more for Obama. Lord, send us more pragmatists and fewer ideologues.
