I yeld to no one in my admiration for Thomas Sowell (or my distaste for Obama), but I think TS is a bit off the market in citing charismatic figures that have been disasterous. I cite but one such individual to make my case: Ronald Reagen. Certainly his charisma played a big part in his successes.
