Armed with the armour of retirement in my nearby future, I've always rattled the diversity cage by asking whomever is running the coproarate slideshow and has sat thru a total of 3 hours of train-the-trainer indoctrination to show me something of actual substance that factually makes the case for diversity. I tell them I am tired of seeing smiling faces of different genders and races and hearing the mantra that "diversity is good for business". I tell them that I have paid attention, viewed their prepackaged slides but now I wan tto see fact and figures that prove their claim that diversity is an end in itself and that increased productivity or profitablilty is the result of aggressive diversity programs. I never get answers - only scowls.
