The flood insurance program is not typically involved with beach homes. Rather properties all over the country that are in low lying areas around the rivers of our country …

I agree that the weakness of the church in the U.S. is a big part of our problems as a nation, since almost all of them tie back to in correct or absent moral understandings, all which derive from the truth of God's word. If you want to know which of the old line denominations still holds to, and proclaims the whole truth of the Bible, go to a Southern Baptist church.
The Dec 23 deadline is real for those whose coverage period needs to begin on Jan 1, 2014. The lies, deceptions, and rank incompetence of this administration and law, will have very real consequences for those caught in the confusion - people and families will be hurt without coverage, and in the extreme cases, will be financially ruined, or left to suffer with their conditions due to lack of care. This is not about politics, this is about humans beings being manipulated by an aggressive state apparatus, with some being crusted in the process.

Is Christie the One?

Tom1878 Wrote: Nov 07, 2013 4:24 PM
I would characterize my personal views as closer to the Tea Party than any other group out there. However, Christie is right in this - you don't get much of a voice in governing, unless you first win the political race. Far right conservatives (like me) can't expect to win and hold office if not willing to get there by degrees and incremental steps. The alternative to demanding "everything be perfect" in today's political-electorate culture, is to keep losing elections and watch the country finally fall over the edge of the precipice under extreme left socialist policy.
Delay and replace should be the conservative rallying point. Interesting question - Anyone know what happens to all the people whose companies have jettisoned their employer plans, and now with a delay, where are they to go?
You touched on an important thought in your last sentence Jerome 41. Many (not all) labor markets are now international and no longer driven by local labor supply and demand forces. Many jobs can be done elsewhere around the world today, so American workers with little or no skill have to compete with workers elsewhere. You may not like this, but it is an economic reality. The solution for American workers with little skill is to work to improve themselves by acquiring skills, becoming educated, and take responsibility for themselves instead of expecting others to give them a handout - whether that be in the form of government welfare programs, or coerced wealth transfer through government imposed mandates like the minimum wage.

White House Calls for a Posse

I get people's frustration with the powers of both parties - but 3rd party votes only help ensure democratic victories and control for as far as the eye can see. Why don't people learn and see this ... ?
Same here in Illinois. No positive Id required.
Real time video of unfolding events in Benghazi renders your comparison irrelevant and nonsensical. Take a course in logical thought.

It may be that Obama is interested in the "or else" option.
