it is also the lAST thing that tyrant King George Three tried to inflict upon his :loyal subjects" this side the puddle back in 1775. THAT was the one thing past which the Colonials would NOT allow themselves to be pushed. When the raids began to disarm the COlonials, they took up their arms and said not just no but HELL NO, BOOM.

and this being the disgusting state of affairs in that state is reason enough to NOT ever allow their current governor to get any funny ideas about becoming our next president. He has NOT been friendly toward the civil rights of his subjects. Nor has he taken any lead in the matter, despite the fact he SHOULD know well his people are being denied their rights under the Supreme Law of the Land. Yup, that set of laws HE has sworn to fiathfully uphold and defend.

several courts have done this, but the idiots in that city continue to allow their overlords to deny them their rights. WHEN will they rise up and march, en masse, upon those tyrants and TELL them tp stop? Ir when will they stage opnm protests, an in their faces civil disobedience everyone out in public armed all day and let them try and fill the jails with arresstees, then SUE the britches off them for their civil rights being violated by their overlords?
wehy not? Let a truly free market determine supply, quality, reliability, cost, efficiency.
Foreign flag vessels and mariners have precisely the same hardships, duties, etc, and if you think they cut so many corners they are more dangerous, YOU are the one needing an education. Yes, there are flag of convenience vessels with "pickle" crews, language barriers, incompetence, low wages and all the rest. At the same time there are far more foreign bottoms run at least as competently and safely as our own. Running cargo from Japan and China to West Coast ports, then trans-shipping to Hawaii is insane. And we are supposed to be recusing our "carbon footprint? Five thousand more sea miles plus port time is a HUGE "carbon footprint", and completely unnecessary.
but true shame CAN be put upon the guilty.... we've not done for so long it seems forgotten. But shame is a real and powerful force. There are ways for opening someone's eyes to see the wrong they've perpetrated...... and have it hit them in the heart, whcih will almost always change. And THAT is the goal in view.
well, that's the village at work raising the children. See what a good job they're doing? And see how wrong Hillary is?
then the police came round and told them they could not continue.... (they made the coppers look bad cause THESE guys kept the place safe, but the cops haven't been able to keep anywhere else safe.
Done properly it will........
This is spot on. I've been saying this for years, but so far haven't found any way to make those who could change it listen. We taxpayers get victimised multiple times and ways because of real crime (I discount victimless actions that harm no one as not being crime at all). We lose the value of our stuff stolen or destroyed, we lose time, we lose the opportunity cost of that time/money/goods, then we lose in the form of taxes to arrest, prosecute, convict... then the REAL loss begins as we lose MORE taxes to keep such perpetrators locked up for years... at a cost often near $45K per year per perpetrator. And then we lose again when a non-rehabilitated/unrepentant criminal is once more loosed into a society which cannot forgive.. because the "justice system" never forgets. The recidivism rate is incredibly high, so the cycle repeats..... Taking restitution off the table years ago was one of the stupidest things our govermnent possibly could have done.

a bunch of thugs wearing having donned government issued costumes and plopped a Sig or a Glock on one hip, playing in the sandbox. Yes, out of line and despicable. But READ about the lives of the common man in places like Hungary, Poland, Romania, East Germany in the period Post Second German War....... try North Korea or Cuba, more recently, and VietNam after the pullout way back when. How about Poland under Nazi rule, ALL of those were marxist/communist regimes. The Brownshirts and SS in Naziland were fearsome.... but Lenin's goons in Soviet Russia made them seem lightweights in comparison.
