I am an American, and have NEVER had health insurance. Nor have I ever lacked for medicacl care. How stupid are so many, to think "healthcare" is synonymous with "government"? I am certain that close to two thirds the cost of medical care today is directly due to government interference, regulation, licensing, records keeping insanely beyond anything necessary, paybacks, "hidden" costs due to government meddling.... and now, the kinyun wants us all to sign up for the same bloated system? Has government EVER run anything efficiently? Name one thing........ I'm waiting....... a truly free market will, within ten years, put medical care into the hands of the average American at a cost we can afford. WHen government butts out, it will work agai

Tionico I agree with you 100%. We will have insurance up to our eyeballs and we will not be able to find one doctor that accepts it. So we will pay for care as well as insurance. The govt is sucking the lifeblood out of the U.S. Free markets are the only way to fix this mess. Drs and hospitals need to advertise their prices so people can shop around. Med insurance should be like car insurance with the ability of the customer to be able to choose. A true way to fix doc shortage is for the govt to offer to pay med school bills in exchange for setting up a family practice for at least 10 years in underserved areas. Chances are they will remain. I feel this is a much better use of our tax dollars than trying to cover everybody la-di-da-di.
Now that Obama has been re-elected and Democrats still control the Senate, Republicans no longer have the chance to repeal Obamacare.

But all is not lost. There's still an opportunity for America to stop this disaster by choking the life out of the federal monstrosity. Obama's signature legislative achievement is likely headed back to the Supreme Court.

Just last week, the high court ordered a lower federal court to take up a lawsuit by the patriots at Liberty University, who claim Congress violated the college's religious freedoms by forcing it to provide federally mandated insurance and requiring payment for abortion-related services....
