LOL I ALWAYS try to slip Conservative thoughts into all my classes and because I am semi-retired, with the House paid off, I figure its not like I care if they fire me. At least I can get the kids to think. If anything would get me in trouble it would be more my habit of playing Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and Led Zep during classes lol The kids think it is torture, and if they really get on my nerves I break out the Bach and Mozart The 5th graders yesterday listened to "Tea For the Tillerman" album in the background when they got wound up lol Oh and I got told I am not aloud to make them do pushups anymore

For decades, collectivist agitators in our schools have chipped away at academic excellence in the name of fairness, diversity and social justice. "Progressive" reformers denounced Western civilization requirements, the Founding Fathers and the Great Books as racist. They attacked traditional grammar classes as irrelevant in modern life. They deemed ability grouping of students (tracking) bad for self-esteem. They replaced time-tested rote techniques and standard algorithms with fuzzy math, inventive spelling and multicultural claptrap.
