Rick Perry's Bad Medicine

Perry is an establishment opportunist of the worst kind. He is co-opting and fooling the Tea Party. When I heard he might run, I likened him to Al Gore - unable to carry his home state. If he thought it would further his ambitions, he'd join the Socialist Party. Remember. He ran Gore's campaign in Texas.

White House's Over-the-Cliff Moment

I see the problem. The moronic lawmakers quoted still think that government creates jobs. They are clueless Keynesians and, left to their own devices, will drive us deeper into stagflation. Can you say, "New Deal and Japan?" I knew that you could.

Obama and the Ghost of '68

Margaret, Obama's election is not that mysterious. Most Americans are dumber than a sack of hair and the press picked the GOP candidate, namely, the nasty, stumbling, bumbling John Boy. Can you say, "Bob Dole"? As for Cristy, he would have a very tough time getting the GOP nomination. He's for gun control and pro-amnesty for illegals.
Rachel, Rachel. Blood shot out of my eyes when I read another strategist/pragmatist telling me why the GOP can do nothing to fix things, regardless of the people's will. No major legislative initiative has been overturned by the courts since FDR destroyed the courts and Constitution with the New Deal. All the courts do now is tell the several states what they cannot do, which is bassackwards from the founders' intent. The polity is going to quit calling upon the GOP if they just keep up the same old saw of being helpless and we just don't understand how hard it is. Make the incumbent Dems in the Senate and the incumbent POTUS go on the record ahead of 2012 and knock off the political science B S!

Barbour Ramps Up His Game

Tink4 Wrote: Mar 20, 2011 1:21 PM
If you're a conservative or Tea Partier, you'll understand this. Barbour is one of those big-tent RINO's who thinks you should jettison philosophy in favor of attracting blacks, Hispanics, gays, single women, hunchbacked dwarfs, etc., a strategy that keeps the GOP from being way larger than the Dems. He quakes when he, mistakenly, thinks about Palin, Bachmann, et al, running off those sacred moderates/independents. You would think that a hi-powered, political operative such as himself would know that, since the indy vote started being tracked in 1972, they have voted for a Democratic POTUS only once. That was 2008. And, we remember 2008. Bush and Paulson crapped in the nest and McCain (Dole redux) was the GOP nominee. This prompted a...
Rachel was doing moderately well until her last statement about Trump buying the presidency. The political landscape is littered with rich folk who outspent their opponents by a butt load and ended up with their rears handed to them.

Fox News Makes You Stupid?

Reagan said that it isn't that liberals don't know anything, it's just that everything they know is wrong. Well, Reagan was wrong. Liberals, indeed, don't know anything. Surveys and studies proving this go way back. The latest I've seen were done by Pew Research, not exactly a right-wing group, and George Mason University. I give credit to Pew for publishing, because you know that they did not expect and did not like the results. Respondents were asked their political philosophy. The most knowledgeable were very conservative/libertarian. The results drifted down to very liberal/progressive being the least knowledgeable about anything. And, we're not talking minimal differences. The ignorant/non-ignorant spread was quite large. The data...
Will Chris Christie be our Maggie Thatcher? Remember, Great Britain was becoming a banana republic due to unions. She broke them down like a shotgun and turned the economy around. The public-employee unions in America will have to be busted before states and municipalities can recover.

Perhaps Steve is trying to go the way of "conservative" Kathleen Parker. At least we don't have to put up with that nitwit on this site anymore.

I guess that's why there are statues and commemorative plaques of Reagan all over the former Soviet bloc countries of Eastern Europe. Thanks for explaining why.
