Government needs to stay out of the marriage issue (either way). Marriage is a cultural and/or religious institution. But because of pols pandering to one part of society over the other we now have a tax and welfare state knee deep into marriage. If there are ever enough bestial supporters to organize, soon we will be force to accept that too, and provide benies with tax dollars.
