Doc I think you like the abuse! I just responded to your earlier post in case you did not see it.

Howard Cosell was the personification of a man educated beyond his intellect.

I can't find it on Youtube but Al Michaels does a good impression of Howard and he told the story one time about how they were out after doing a broadcast and Howard is half-loaded when they see these two dudes duking it out on a street corner. Howard tells the driver to pull over and he gets it out of the car and says something to the effect that " It appears to this observer that the southpaw does not have the requisite jab to continue this altercation. I recommend the cessation of hostilities post haste." Michaels said he was worried that Howard was going to get pummeled but the two guys stopped the fight right then and there and started yukking it up with Howard.
