If only Newt would sub in the debate.

At the least, Newt should have been a debate advisor. But I'm afraid Romney is to insular to allow that. Romney can go nasty against Republicans but not against Democrats.

I couldn't agree with you more. Not sure if Mitt's tactic is holding on to his cannons and then releasing full force during the debates but he has no other choice or at least it appears that way. What gives me hope is in his last debate against Newt for the Republican nominiee for the Presidency, was quite impressive. I never thought anyone could one up Newt and leave him short of words but that he did and with fiery delivery. Hopefully he can summon up that killer instinct and go for the jugular with true conviction. Not only must he contend with the incumbent but the moderators as well.He must be on the offensive, not the defensive. He has to expose all of them and show the American people he is a force to be reckoned with as President.

I’ve got to admit … I’m a wee bit concerned about the upcoming presidential debates. My fear is that Mitt, for whatever reason, will take the McCain fetal position before Obama and not come out swinging for the fence.

Mitt ought to do this Wednesday what Babe Ruth did in ‘32 and point to Chicago like the Bambino pointed to centerfield bleachers and then verbally hammer Obama out of the park and back to Illinois.

In addition to Mitt being the aggressor versus a genteel back-pedaler, I’d like to see some former Navy SEALs in the crowd stand...
