The Super-Sized Census Boondoggle

I was required to fill out the long census in 2000, and at the time was residing alone in a 4 bedroom home which I had been renovating, purchased solely as an invested. Supposition on my part is that "red flags" went up, and I received a follow up phone call from someone at the census bureau wanting to know if they could send someone to "visit" and aks more questions. I politely declined and said I already spent as much time as required to fill out the long census. A few days later a woman with a clipboard showed up at my door, aksed if she could come in and that it would only take about another 20 minutes to answer some more questions. She persisted, pleaded, cajoled and I finally said to her "here is my answer" and I closed the door...
