Student loans are the next big thing that they do not see comming. The current crop of graduate do not think they have to pay for anything, they have a studies degree no work skills, and lots of dept it the Republicans fault. So bail me out.

No doubt what you've written is true.

But look on the bright side; all those recently-minted graduates of "studies" degree plans have an acutely refined sense of just how victimized they've all been. "Womens' studies" graduates just KNOW that the patriarchy is why their "skills" are in scant demand. "Afro-American studies" graduates, similarly, will be able to detect racism as the cause of their constrained prospects - even when, as in the vast majority of cases, no such exists!

So we've all got THAT going for us, eh? Glad to be able to cheer you up so....

I really don't get it. I'm a young person and the government makes it easy for me to get a student loan.Colleges increase tuition and whether I graduate or not I'm knee deep in debt. I don't see how the government has done me any favors. Just like the housing bubble. They really help those people.

As expected (in this corner but certainly not from economic cheerleaders masquerading as economists), eurozone retail sales are plunging across the board, even in Germany. Let's take a look at a few key reports.

The Markit France Retail PMI shows sharpest drop in sales for six months.

Key Points:

  • Sales down markedly on both monthly and annual measures
  • Targets missed to greatest extent in series history
  • Purchasing activity falls at sharpest rate since July...
