Has anybody seen any reputable journalists (I know, quickly becoming an oxymoron in the USA today) who have attempted to disprove Bloomberg's story last week that GMs "spike" in sales last month was directly attributable to those numbers being GREATLY blown up by the fact that 79% OF GM'S SALES LAST MONTH WERE MADE TO THE GOVERNMENT???? Been looking, can find NOBODY denying this, but, at the same time, the story has been picked up by NONE OF THE DRIVE BY MEDIA...So sad and infuriating

tim87@12:08-Tim you are correct about government municipalities buying GM.Here in Ann Arbor(about 35min east of Detroit)the city government fleet services were told to prefer GM over Ford. That bit of news got out,and now there is a kerfuffle going on throughout the city. There is a group being organized to put this on ballot in November.
We are not the only city in Washtenaw county pushing back. Most wish to purchase Ford,as they were not bailed out.

KUDOs to you and the residents of your community...The fact is, everything that has any fingerprints of anyone from the Soetero Admin is corrupt...anti-American...and frankly, bereft of ANY decenct human values...Stay vigilent//tm

tim87-Ann Arbor is NO friend to people like you and I.I have always stated that Lib's love their money too. When I heard about the push back against this policy I was surprised by it.Ann arbor is a wishy wash liberal city.More people are waking up to the damage done by our pie in the sky leaders here.We have a city council women(Jan Lum)who is independent leading the charge against the mayor over this preferential treatment policy. We will keep up the fight.

You need to get over the fact that the press is no longer independent, but that about 95% of major press sources are active partisans serving the interests of the Democratic party.

Yes, GM is utterly dependent on the government. The notion that Obama "saved" GM is a very bad joke.

True enough...What Barry and his cabal saved were the thugs at the UAW.

This is getting redundant.

If you want investment losses for tax purposes, Barack Obama is your guy.

Now, if the country could only figure out how to write off the five trillion dollars we’ve lost during his presidency. As the man said: A billion here and a billion there, and pretty soon were talking about Barack Obama.

Readers of my column know that there are few things that I dislike more than the Chevy Volt. I don’t like the inflated claims that government-corporate elites make about it; I don’t like that it costs more than a normal car to keep...
