The worst thing Republicans could do would be to offer Obama "bi-partisan help" in rescuing the country. Let it crash. Let people see the inevitable results of the last 50 years of socialist policies. Only then, MAYBE, will our citizens wake up.

Right on Tim. Repugnantcans should do nothing during the lame duck session regarding the fiscal situation. They shouldn't even show up and if they do they should refuse to allow anything to come to the floor. Drive right off that cliff (Thelma and Louse that thing). Taxes will soar making the Demonrats happy. Spending will be sliced (sequestration) and that will make the Repugnantcans happy. Bliss all around. It may blow everybody's mind by actually working. If it causes catastrophe the Demonrats will be blamed (at least by the Repugnantcans). We can fix it, or not, with the 2014 fiscal year budget.

Barack Obama won a moderately close victory over Mitt Romney on Tuesday. But oddly, nothing much has changed. The country is still split nearly 50/50. There is still a Democratic president, and an almost identically Democratic Senate at war with an identically Republican House, in a Groundhog Day America.

Obama's win did not really reflect affirmation of his first term, given that the president made only halfhearted efforts to defend Obamacare, the stimulus, huge Keynesian deficits and his attempts to implement cap-and-trade. So if there is a second-term agenda, even Obama supporters don't quite know what it will be.
