This administration opened Pandora's box when they attempted to force the Catholic church to provide medical services for "reproductive rights" that were against their faith and principles. Heretofore many in the Catholic church were just fine with socialistic principles of "social justice" and a redistributionist ideology and though they spoke out against abortion in a general sense they did not target prominent Catholics in political power. Previously socialistic Catholics could be counted in the base by Democrats. Religious liberty is a bedrock principle in this country in spite of the fact that religion is ridiculed and vilified by the intelligentsia, except for Islam. We are constantly bombarded by the left to respect Islam.

What I really don't get is how on women's rights issues, liberals hate and ban the G-word, J-word, and the Bible every chance they get, but justify the Quran's violent treatment of women like animals as "personal choice".

That has always puzzled me too, just like feminists supporting Clinton when abused his position to get away with groping, and even in one case apparently raping, a woman. Makes no sense.
