Politics trumps security when our borders are involved and security trumps liberty insofar as the NSA and government is concerned. If all you do is protect geography rather than liberty then the U.S. is no longer unique in the world. Should I trust a man who used sealed (secret) divorce records against his opponent during a Senate race in his state? What about Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the IRS just to name a few. What about the invasive questions asked of religious or Tea Party groups that were not asked of other groups? What about the words of the leadership of the left describing conservatives and Tea Party types as extremist and violent and comparing them to terrorists. Each party for their own reasons has chosen to not protect the borders. Don't come now and speak of national security and the NSA when you have deliberately chosen to allow illegal entry into this country for your own political or economic purpose.

If Republicans truly believe in liberty then the only message they need was handwritten in cursive on a few pieces of paper over two hundred years ago. That is what America is about and that is what will attract others. Morals and ethics along with real family values actually work. Yeah, they may seem stuffy to some but they really work, unlike the search for "family values" that liberalism has been attempting to discover. You can't solve a problem unless you correctly identify the problem. Liberals provide solutions that don't work to problems that don't exist. They are still in search of a vision that works. They have been looking for over a century.
