Surviving the Government Super Storm

So simple seeming because it is so simplistic, calling out with large emotional power and very little economic reality. His main point, that unemployment insurance creates more unemployment is based on one silly statistic: "...There have been a lot of studies over the years going back to the 1970s that show these programs on balance added a bit to the unemployment rate.” So a few are moochers - what else is new? That he then blames these few moochers for 9 trillion in debt. Pay attention to the nonsense here people. Analyze. Do not take John Ransom's ideas straight into your unfiltered brain - he plays fast and loose with the truth... and stirs up a lot of emotional ire over fabricated peccadilloes.

Silly paid troll...... In Denmark they had 5 years of unemployment. That government found that no one got a job for 4.5 years. They reduced the limit to four years and found that no one got a job until 3.5 years. Then they reduced the period again and guess what? Yep. Same answer. No one finds a job until their benefits are about to expire.

Idiot,
Even moochers, when you cut them off, will work. It's not SOME, it's most. Many of those on unemployment, I'm talking about the ones who would work, are waiting for a job that's as good as the one they lost. When you refuse to support them, they take the job they can get. You know this, you also know that this is the bulk of those on extended unemployment...The more folks working the more commerce, the larger the GDP, the lesser the burden on taxpayers.

A lot of people that have been on unemployment for almost 2 years aren't fit to work anymore. Most people on unemployment don't get serious about looking for a job until 2 weeks before the unemployment runs out.

A great many, now dependent, move to qualify for some disability, if their unemployment benefits are exhausted.
I blame Obama and his, for this. Those dependents will vote for them again and again, as if there was some 'stash'. Seems, in time, it will collapse, as in Greece.
Be sure, if it does, it will be the fault of the Republicans, as they are the needed scapegoat, as the Jews were with Hitler.
'The Road to Serfdom'.

There's a super storm raging over our economy that's been seeded and fueled by the federal government over a period of the past several decades. And it's literally costing the country trillions of dollars in GDP per year.
It’s not merely garden-variety government waste that's the problem either. It's monumental stupidity by the government, combined with venial cupidity by voters who think they can get others to pay for their free lunch.

This government-created storm has, more than any other factor, contributed to the fiscal crisis; a crisis that is creating more expansive government programs, robbing us of more GDP, thus ensuring...
