Did the King of England concede to our Founding Fathers? Our corruptement knows this -- that is why they push for gun control. Because in the end, if a thief is taking food from your childs mouth, you will either kill him, or watch your child starve to death. So far, we've all been doing a lot of watching.

Well, the solution is us. John is a libertarian. He will present the problem, but it is up to you to choose the direction and engage the political process. You are expecting a government solution, John does not believe in government solutions in the first place. His solution would be to elect libertarians who would do more than just cut the rate of growth of government, they would dismantle large segments of government. His article, as a reporter, is only intended to point out the absurdity of the situation not decide for you.
Listening to progressive media pundits, I'd think the most evil man in the universe is Grover Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform. His crime? He heads a movement that asks political candidates to pledge not to raise taxes.

I think Grover accomplished a lot. But I wish he'd convinced politicians to pledge not to increase spending.
