One of the great lessons of our time, is the fact that "meaning well" ultimately means nothing. An emotional desire to help is not the same as having a plan that could actually help.
Something to keep in mind. My generation didn't ask for a terrible education. We didn't ask for substandard teachers, or unqualified trainers, or for such misguided curriculums. Many of us worked hard. Very hard. But if we aren't taught what to work hard 'at' by competent teachers, then we haven't got a chance.
