I wonder what some of those other 129 cars might be? Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati, just to name a few. Actually, those cars are not even on the list, but some that are: Mercedes, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, Infiniti, SmartFortwo, Scion, Corvette, Volvo's, most of the cars under the Volt are specialty low volume cars, like the Volt. Fiat sold 12,000 more 500's than Chevy gave away Volts, oh yeah, Fiat sold 150% more cars in the same time period. The 500 is ranked #91 back in June 2012, Volt was #144. The top 20 vehicles sold over 10's more vehicles than Volt year to date in June. The top 10 vehicles sold over 15x's more vehicles. The Volt is the median of nothing.

After a year that can only be described as “stupid,” the Chevy Volt is gearing up to make 2013 even stupider still.

I know, I know.

You find it hard to believe that a mostly-owned subsidiary of the United States government and the Obama administration- like GM is- could get any stupider than say Fannie Mae, or Federal Reserve Bank.

Yes, that’s tough competition, but in the “idiocy” category GM seems to be the ruling champion.

Not only have they lost substantial amounts of taxpayer dollars, they have managed to do it while generating record profits...
