In the same interview, he also said - and this fact is conveniently left out of Liberal & media talking points - "I don’t want the president to fail; I want him to change." You can check out WaPo.com's fact check on the statement - http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/when-did-mcconnell-say-he-wanted-to-make-obama-a-one-term-president/2012/09/24/79fd5cd8-0696-11e2-afff-d6c7f20a83bf_blog.html

"I'm not a supporter of Obama...But..." RIght. Get your facts straight, McConnell said that his political priority was making sure that Obama was a 1 term President. Additionally, McConnell is the minority leader, so he doesn't get to set the legislative priorities for the Senate. And, as a member of the opposition, is it really surprising that one of his top priorities is making sure that the other side only serves one term? Why are you bringing this up anyway - what does this have to do with this story. Maybe you should focus on the leader of the Senate, Harry Reid, and his legislative priorities which are what? Not passing a budget in 3 years? You're an idiot.
she doesn't hear "terrorisim" either - and is trying to find it. I didn't realize that Soledad was Obama's Press Secretary.
Hey Morphine (and other uniformed Democrats): Congress has two parts - a House of Representatives and a Senate. The Senate is Democratic so Congress is not controlled by Republicans. Furthermore, as has been stated many times by Republicans but somehow fails to sink in, the House was controlled by Democrats for the 1st 2 years of Obama's presidency. Furthermore, it is Obama and the Senate that have blocked every attempt by "Congress" - as you call it - to enact bills to increase jobs and improve the economy. In reality, it's Obama and the Senate who are obstructionists.
Dr Roy - Gas is now over $5 in San Diego. Just like every thing that comes from a Dem, red is blue, up is down, the economy's getting better, and gas prices are going down. (Oh, and Obama's getting reelected.)

They were democrats, just like the democrats that fought to keep slavery. Just like that Democrat Strom Thurman. Just like that Democrat Harry Reid - "he doesn't even sound black." Considered yourself schooled.

Guy that's a great ad, actually! he says he can't change washington from the inside, but how would he know when he spends most of his time outside playing golf, hangin with celebrities and fundraising.
On the contrary, Newt deserves a lot of credit for pushing through welfare reform and putting the breaks on spending. Here's an excellent article - http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/craigsteiner/2011/08/22/the_clinton_surplus_myth/page/full/.
While I agree with premise, Newt didn't balance the budget. Neither did Clinton. If you look at the real data from the OMB.gov website, you'll see the closest the budget has come closest to being balance was around '98 at 17 billion or so. I guess if you're rounding down in the billions. Great article on this by Greg Steiner in, err, townhall - http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/craigsteiner/2011/08/22/the_clinton_surplus_myth/page/full/.
