So far this year here in Maine has been one of the coldest and wettest on record. There has been comparisons made to 1816 which was the infamous 'year without a summer'.

A couple months ago I read a piece on Accuweather that said much of northern America would be facing a "year without summer" due to the jetstream being located much further south than usual. So far they have been spot on.

My understanding is that a very rapid global cooling (2-3 years) has occurred after unusually cold summers followed by a cold winter with a heavy snowpack. Studies have shown that far more crop damage would occur with far greater loss of life if the Earth entered a marked cooling phase as contrasted to a warming one.

Too bad...

The koolaid drinkers proclaim that Obama will bridge the racial gap and we will all sing kumbaya. What a friggin joke. He chose to surround himself during his formative years with a vile racist preacher, an unrepentent domestic terrorist and others of anarchist or socialist beliefs. This pretender to the throne will set back race relations decades. He admitted not having all of the facts en reference to the Gates arrest and then turns around and makes an inflammatory statement. He ia an ignoramous with horrible judgement.

I want a leader who instructs his covert intelligence operators to remove the likes of Megrahi and Ghadafi from the face of the Earth.

Every terrorist who harbors ill will towards the civilized world should never be allowed a moment of respite. Forever hunted and exterminated.

Will there come a time in the near future when hard working people scream enough is enough? When they are so sick of the extremist direction our country is being led that they revolt? I'm about at that point. I love my country and it's people but I've been forced to hate my government and the criminals who run it. I don't want a civil war but I do want a place where law is founded upon common sense and liberty. It appears that the counrty is about evenly divided on idealogical lines so lets have an amicable divorce and split the country geographically in two. The greens, the socialists, illegal aliens, anarchists, social progressives and their ilk can even pick which side of the Mississippi they want. Just let me know where to go.
