If the principal had been allowed to conceal carry, she could have taken this guy out before he had the opportunity to kill one student. She would not have to lunge at him, she could have put three well-placed shots into center of mass with even a .380 and taken this monster out. Instead, we have what we have. She didn't need an M4, but a little Walther PK380 with critical defense ammo would have done the job nicely.

A Taurus Judge, .412 shotgun shells and .45 pistol shells intermixed in the same chamber would do the trick. Maybe too much kick for a female hand, but not if she is trained.
