What Do I Tell My Black Child If Obama Loses?

Tell your child a president isn't elected for the color of their skin, but for their policies and character. And in Obama's case, his record of failures, lies, deception and lack of respect for America and the American public.

You are never going to take away Barack Obama's historical significance. Even if you manage to steal this election.
Obama will always remain an icon, a transformative figure.....

Children of the future will be taught about the dream and vision he offered -social justice for all Americans. Before he was pulled down and betrayed by a bunch of stormtroopers for the 1%

Obama will always remain a failure, in spite of your refusal to admit it.

Nobama now surpasses Carter as the worst president in history.

There is no doubt he will have historical significance. But he will long be remembered for his utter failure and the damage he's done to racial relations which may take years to undo. Like King Tut he will be known as the child President.

Germain,
I appreciate your support of Obama but he is just not that good of a president or that important to so many people. History will lose track of the fact that he was black but not that 75% of the people said we were on the wrong direction while he was in office. The amount of money he squandered on what is turning out to be just more cronyism will far out-weigh the fact that he was black. After all that did not seem to matter so much when he was elected, remember?

ASK, he didn't offer a dream and vision. He TOLD us we could have a dream and a vision. He offered social justice? What the heck am I missing here?

Well Germaine, you are right about one thing Obama will always remain the trans-formative figure that brought the once great country of America to it's knees and turned it over to Islamic law.

What do I tell my black child if Barack Obama, America's first black president, loses his bid for re-election? This is a question many parents are asking themselves -- especially those who would blame the loss on racism.

Jubilant black parents on the front pages of newspapers, the day after Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008, said things like, "for the first time" they could "sincerely" say to their children that a black person could realistically aspire to become president of the United States.
