exactly right William. The liberals do not understand that the producers in the country have a choice about how much they want to produce. Heaping more taxes on a producer causes him to reevaluate his positions, and perhaps cut down on his production. The effect of raising taxes is always the same, less revenue to the gov't.

Mitt Romney now joins the long list of the kinds of presidential candidates favored by the Republican establishment-- nice, moderate losers, people with no coherently articulated vision, despite how many ad hoc talking points they may have.
