As I come upon my fiftieth birthday, one of my goals to accomplish in the second half is to just shake the hand of a truly wise man. Mr. Sowell, I am looking forward to you helping to fulfill this goal ASAP.

It is a rare day when I disagree with Dr. Sowell, but, although I find him partially correct, looking at the facts of the day, I cannot see him as hitting the bull's eye. Yes, politicians do things that we consider stupid to cover their tails, but today's liberals have a religious ferver for issues that they will support in what appears to be political suicide. Is Cap and Trade going to be popular with voters? If some are foolish enough to turn a head now, that will change when the effects hit. (They'll probably try to blame it Bush.)
