Donjindra............I definitely tend to agree with your contention that caricaturizing and demonizing can come from both sides. What makes this particular column noteworthy, though, is that Dennis Prager, the same guy who literally earns his living by engaging in this beahvior on a daily basis, is the one complaining.

As much as I dislike Prager, his industry is a response to the same cartoonish distortions of reality that permeate from the Left. I don't begrudge Prager for responding to the attacks Cohen charges in his article.

Donjindra..............yup.....as sated, this is how he has chosen to make his living. I would be willing to bet that, in the past 5 years, he has never gone an entire show without demonizing the left to some extent.

I agree. Prager's hypocrisy is reprehensible. But it's normal behavior for him.

On the last day of 2012, Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen inadvertently clarified two huge matters regarding the left.

The first was the ignorance about conservatives and conservatism that permeates the left. The second was the primary reason decent people identify with the left: the effective caricaturing and demonizing of the right. Were it not for caricature and demonization, most otherwise intelligent and decent people would not be on the left.
