I doubt you'll see this answer, but I don't in any way disagree with you on this, Dan. I wasn't addressing every aspect of Solyndra (which I think I *do* get), but rather pointing out similarities to the spotted owl silliness. Solyndra et all were presented to the public as "an investment in our future" - that's the part I was referring to. In that way, the WH picked their winner (loser) as a source of energy for the future. And I like the spotted owl a lot more than Solyndra...
