I must say, the astute comments here give me hope for this country. I hope we are the majority. It’s the stubborn 45% who still approve of this combination imbecile/madman/fanatic that I find inscrutable. What on earth could they be thinking?

All things being equal, Barack Obama would never have been elected were he not black (or half black -- it's absurd even discussing this).

Surely, we would not have voted for a white man of so little experience, and with such radical views and associations had it not been for the opportunity to “make history.” The vast majority of citizens in this country have displayed exemplary racial tolerance, so it is time to put an end to this canard born of desperation.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of America’s religious tolerance. If anything, much of the left’s vitriolic opposition to George W. Bush was rooted in anti-Christian bigotry. I know this from personal experience, as many of those who harbored such feelings...
