"The lesson everyone seemed to take from the Katrina mess was "Get rid of Bush."" While Bush made some mistakes in handling of Katrina, the Democrats used the catastrophe as an opportunity to put out huge amounts of lies and propaganda and caused a huge swath of people to vehemently turn on Bush.

"Even the most virulent George W. Bush denigrator would not suggest that the former president actually created the hurricane." Oh, yes they did. Cindy Sheehan, while in Crawford, TX said: "the president is "[now] heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused." and the press quoted her over and over. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. claimed Gov. Haley Barbour persuaded Bush to oppose carbon dioxide restriction saying: "Now we are all learning what it's like to reap the whirlwind of fossil fuel dependence which Barbour and his cronies have encouraged."

That's not a new talking point, it is just being used more and more. It's been used for years and was used to justify affirmative action regarding SAT testing, IQ tests and everything else they could apply it to and keep on using it.

The fifteenth amendment of 1870 gave the vote to blacks and some used it and elected state and federal senators and representatives. (Women got it in 1919.) Around 1990 to 1910 the south made it difficult for blacks to vote with poll taxes, literacy tests and downright intimidation and made it difficult if not impossible for blacks to vote. The voting rights act of 1965, "which provided for federal oversight and enforcement of constitutional rights in areas with historic under-representation" changed that and led to what we have today.

" Instead of a disability, welfare or unemployment check, they should find a way to offer a job." The Republican Party cannot offer a job. The government does not create jobs. They will have to create the climate in which jobs are created by the private sector. This means dismantling a lot of the overgrown bureaucracy, lower taxes and get rid of much of the unnecessary regulations that suppress private sector growth and new business start-up. That is what killed it in the first place.

But you have to have the moral underpinnings and social smarts to recognize that they are viewing you as ignorant and worthless. So many people today weren't brought up with the understanding and proper foundations for life and can't see through the phony leaders.

And to make matters worse, many of them work in concert with each other such as to achieve goals of socialism, selling it piece by piece as benefits owed to the public and eventually achieving a socialist totalitarian government.
