What Guy Benson Calls a “scandal”, Mormons see as Living Their Religion A past President of Mitt Romney’s Mormon religion, Gordon B. Hinckley, in a speech to the world wide church in an October 1999 General Conference, said of homosexuals, “We love and honor them as sons and daughters of God. They are welcome in the church.” Elder Dallin H. Oaks, a leader in the same church said on the same subject, “We are called upon to be true disciples of Christ, to love one another with genuine compassion, for that is the way Christ loved us.” The left accuses those on the right of being intolerant when they are the tolerant ones. Is it not the mission of Christ to aid the sick? Our ignorance of this fact, that Homosexuality in an addiction to sex and other substances, is no excuse. Many would love to be free of that, but many have given up do to attitudes that come from the Christian peanut gallery. We need to heed the Saviours example, and that is what I see Mitt Romney doing. How may we help another is we have no compassion or love for them, not for what ails them, but because they need help and all they get is condemnation. Those are very unchristian like attitudes for sure.

To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin: If we don’t hang together, we will assuredly lose in November.

Gov. Mitt Romney stepped on a landmine by appointing Richard Grenell, an out, loud and proud homosexual, to be his spokesman on national security and foreign policy issues. Grenell has for years been an...
